Two Month Check-up

Baxter went to the pediatrician today for his two month appt. He passed with flying colors of course! Dr. Shumate says he looks perfect and is right on track for his progress. He weighed 14 lbs. 13 oz and was 24 inches long. He is in the 95% on both....not that I'm surprised in his size. Unfortunately, he had a reaction to his shots that evening. He started running a 102 fever and he was very fussy. We put him in a tepid bath and that just mad him more mad. We called the doctor's office just to make sure a fever of 102 wasn't too high and they said that was not abnormal and we gave him some tylenol. Luckily, it didn't effect his night as he slept like an angel. The doctor said he would probably have a reaction each visit that required shots.....GREAT! But it's better than the alternative....not having the shots and coming down with something much more serious than a slight fever.
