As I mentioned in a previous posting, there were several babies born around the same time as Baxter. Everyone was getting impatient about meeting all of the new additions, so Nick and I decided to have a cookout at our house this past Saturday night. Not everyone could make it, but the ones that could, had a blast! My parents were out of town so they couldn't make it, but you could not pay Darla Blazek to stay away from all of these babies, so she and Grandpa made an appearance as well as Steve and Susan Deakins. All of the dads congregated on the back deck, while all the mommies stayed indoors chatting, cooking, and comparing stories. At one point, several of us were in Baxter's room and we could hear a couple of cries and we were all making bets as to which mommy the crying belonged to. We all laughed talking about how the 1-year birthdays are going to be SO MUCH FUN since there will be so many at one time. We even joked saying that we may have to do a huge combined birthday just to make it easier on everyone. Baxter is so fortunate to have such a great group of playmates to grow up with.....LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN!!
